5i is not your traditional country club. We aspire to establish a casual, relaxed environment for golfers and non-golfers alike. We are a fun and growing company with an urban vibe. We offer indoor golf simulation, lessons, golf fittings, and food and beverage service.
As we expand, we are looking for team-oriented employees who help continue our most important tradition; providing outstanding customer service.
We are seeking an Assistant General Manager. This individual will help on board and train new and existing staff at the location and will report directly to the General Manager.
Responsibilities include the following:
Training & Development:
Evaluate individual and organizational performance to ensure training is meeting business needs and improving performance
Detail all new hires' initial tasks and answering any queries. Providing new hires with manuals, guidelines, and new hire materials as needed.
Welcome new hires with prepared onboarding kits and a 5i tour.
Set up the first day for new hires with details about their first day, including parking information, work schedules, and dress codes.
Conduct location-wide training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed
Ensure 5i new hire training is being conducted for all new hires
Assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills and KPIs
Review and organize training plans? design and develop training programs for corporate? HR training and so on
Plan and implement training programs that will prepare employees for the next step of their career paths
Hospitality Management
Food and Beverage
Work with Chef/kitchen staff to create and maintain an engaging and sellable menu
Manage and maintain bar selection, inventory, and ordering
Maximize F&B performance by creating promotions and specials around various 5i products (league, membership, etc.)
Serve as POC for staff on all things F&B
Manage and maintain vendor relationships for all F&B
Provide month-end F&B performance reports
Team Training and Communication
Set expectations and example by delivering world class customer service
Deliver continuous training to staff as needed to ensure expectations are met
Ensure all staff are up to date with current menu offerings, promotions, etc.
Customer Service Excellence
Display and deliver a world class customer service experience
Develop team qualities to support an environment that focuses on a “customer-first” mentality
Required Qualifications:
Golf, server, and/or hospitality experience encouraged but NOT required
Knowledge of various training and teaching methods
Excellent decision making and organizational skills
Good time-management skills
Great interpersonal and communication skills
