What are the weeks of play?

The Summer Series runs from 7/10 – 8/20

How long is the league season?

Play runs for 6 weeks, with 4 best scores counting toward the final leaderboard

Who can play?

The tournament is open to men, women or any person over the age of 21.
Must have 2 players to compete – but free agents can be matched up

What’s the deal with the tournament on 6/27?

All teams who enter into the Summer Series will also be able to enter into a one-night scramble tournament on 6/27
- This will be a one-night tournament consisting of an 18 hole scramble between the team of 2, starting at 7pm.
  - 2 teams will play alongside in 1 bay
The winning team will receive a trip to Casa de Campo for 4 nights and 6 rounds of golf!

How do I enter?

All players must complete registration through LeagueApps and pay the $400/$500 (NYC, Boston, and Chicago) registration fee

Are there any discounts for signing up early?

Yes! All players who sign up by 6/19 will receive 20% off the registration fee

How do I schedule my Rounds?

Players can schedule rounds through the local League Coordinator or the National League Manager
- All they will need to do is contact the League Coordinator prior to the round to make sure that they have a simulator blocked
Teams also have the option to pick a regularly scheduled tee time for the season (i.e. Tuesday at 7pm)

What comes with my entry?

Entry will include:
- 1 Round during each of the 6 weeks of the season
- Access to CTP and Low Score prizing each week
- Entry into the 1 night scramble tournament on 6/27
- Chance for extra weeks of play if you are in the top 8 nationally at the end of the season

How does it work?

Team will compete against other local teams as well as teams in their division across the country
Each round, team will play 18 holes on a designated course in a 2-person scramble format
Players will putt with 12-foot gimmies
The Summer Series is a no handicap event.
Play runs for 6 weeks, with 4 best scores counting toward the final leaderboard

How do I know what course I’m playing?

Each week on Sunday night, the course for the next week will be announced
Each week on Monday, a newsletter will be sent out to players including the prizes for that week

How does each round work?

Once teams have coordinated your time slot for the week with the local league coordinator, they will have a slot blocked off
Teams should be able to join the tournament through Trackman through their Trackman account
- If you are having trouble joining the round let the front desk know and the staff can assist you in joining the tournament on Trackman
  - Worst case scenario the staff will be able to manually set you up on the round
Teams will not be given scorecards to fill out as all of the scores will be saved through Trackman – but worst case if you have to be set up manually just make sure to send a picture of your scorecard to leagues@fiveirongolf.com

How are matches scored?

Each week will be an 18-hole scramble – meaning both players will play their first shot from the tee, then they will pick the best shot and both players will play their next shot from that position on the hole
The tiebreaker for scores is listed here in order of how they will be compared:
- Total of the back 9
- Total of the front 9
- Total of holes 1-3
- Total of holes 4-6
- Total of holes 7-9
- Total of holes 10-12
- Total of holes 13-15
- Total of holes 16-18
- Sudden death matchplay starting from 18 and going backwards

What happens after week 6?

After the season is over the top 8 teams nationally will advance to the quarterfinals where you will play one round during the week of 8/21-8/27
- Those who advance through the quarterfinals will compete in the semifinals on 8/28-9/3
  - The finals will then be held the week of 9/4-9/10
These rounds will all be held in the 2-person scramble format

Do other people win things?

There will be prizes awarded each week for the low score and CTP

What should I know about the simulators?

All players are expected to use the simulator properly and adhere to the Five Iron Golf Tour rules and regulations.
Any attempts to manipulate the simulator as determined by the Five Iron Golf Tour in its sole discretion will be grounds for removal.
Teeing up the ball is only permitted on the first shot of every hole. A one stroke penalty will be assessed for any violations of this rule.
