Five Iron Golf (5i) is the country's biggest indoor golf company with 23 locations around the country.
5i is not your traditional country club. We aspire to establish a casual, relaxed environment for golfers and non-golfers alike. We are a fun and growing company with an urban vibe. We offer indoor golf simulation, lessons, golf fittings, and food and beverage service.
As we expand, we are looking for team-oriented employees who help continue our most important tradition; providing outstanding customer service.
We are seeking a Shift Lead- This individual will provide the best service to all Five Iron Golf customers and ensure customers’ time spent in the facility exceeds expectations through direct oversight of Roamers and other staff on duty.
Responsibilities Include the following:
Manage all Bay Host (staff who assist customers through setting them up on simulators, bringing food/bev, etc.) on duty and ensure they are performing their jobs properly, as well as determine if they must stay late or can leave early
Inspect all equipment at the beginning and end of shift. Report concerns, repair needs directly to the General Manager.
Communicate with fellow shift leads as they transition shifts regarding ongoing issues or priorities and plans for the next shift
Create daily reports with all pertinent information informing leadership of potential staffing, customer service, and/or operational needs
Address and resolve complaints from guests or employees. This includes simulator crashes, customer complaints, business-related questions.
Manage the flow of the day, including but not limited to managing simulator assignments, managing events, disciplining roamers & holding all employees to the 5i standard.
Coach & develop team members and train new staff
When necessary, assisting Roamers in setting customers up on a simulator, explain how they work and their various features, and bring the correct golf clubs to the customers
Supervise Roamers in the process of taking food and drink orders as well as delivering and clearing these orders to ensure the highest quality of customer service is provided.
Supervise opening and closing procedures to make sure the space is properly cleaned and ready for customers
Monitor team performance and ensuring duties are performed efficiently
Assign duties to specific employees based on role and skills
Have an in-depth knowledge of simulator function and troubleshooting
Have a general knowledge of bar operations including Bar SOP and drink knowledge
Have an in-depth understanding of our Mindbody booking software, Square POS, phone system, and email system to properly handle all customer requests
Required Qualifications:
Golf, server, and/or hospitality experience encouraged but NOT required
Job Type: This is a Part-time exempt position
Hours: Will vary by week and will be focused on night and weekend shifts.
