We are seeking an Assistant Director of Golf. This individual assists the Director of Golf in overseeing and managing golf operations at the location, and is dedicated to delivering exceptional service and genuine hospitality. The Assistant Director of Golf is charismatic, people-oriented, gets to know Guests on a first-name basis, and is able to develop a proficiency at using our equipment, including our golf simulators. The Assistant Director of Golf reports directly to the Director of Golf.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Assist the Director of Golf in management and training of morning and afternoon golf staff
  • Provide above-and-beyond service to Guests with a friendly face
  • Present to open the location in the mornings and facilitate golf operations
  • Proficiency in golf simulator technology; oversee all aspects of simulator upkeep and maintenance
  • Cultivate meaningful relationships with Guests
  • Maintain and organize golf bag storage and all golf equipment, including demo clubs
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all of our products and business lines and work alongside the Director of Golf to hit quarterly sales targets
  • Display attention to detail by actively checking in with Guests throughout their booking
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of food and beverage offerings; ability to deliver premium food and beverage service, including taking orders and timely delivering items
  • Take pride and ownership of each Guest’s enjoyment and fun at Five Iron Golf

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of hospitality, hotel or golf course/club management experience
  • Exemplary communication, time management and organization skills
  • Upbeat energy and enthusiasm and a positive attitude
  • Ability to think on your feet and manage customer expectations
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Availability to be present in the space primarily mornings/afternoons, and weekends/holidays
  • Ability to stand, walk and bend for long periods of time and maneuver up and down stairs

Job Type: Full Time, Non-Exempt

Pay: Compensation for this position ranges from $18-21 hr

Additionally, wages for teaching lessons, if applicable, are provided. You will also have the opportunity to earn incentive-based compensation through a quarterly bonus program, based on the revenue generated from lessons and memberships in a given quarter.
