Five Iron Golf is the country's premier indoor golf and entertainment experience, with fifteen locations nationwide and more on the way. Five Iron Golf’s core mission is to seamlessly meld golf and entertainment, and in the process make golf inclusive and accessible for all. Five Iron Golf is seeking a Teaching Professional. This individual is primarily responsible for delivering high-quality golf instruction and will report directly to the national Director of Golf.

About 5i Instruction: We pride ourselves on being a fun and non-intimidating introduction to golf for any skill level. At the same time, we provide the more serious players with a premium lesson offering including the most advanced teaching technology available. We understand what each student’s unique goals are and can provide help to anyone who needs it. Whether they want to play better in their company outing next week, have more fun with friends, or play competitively, we have the tools and the people to make it happen. 

Responsibilities include the following:

Deliver best in class golf instruction to an array of students

Be in control of your availability for private lessons. Must include morning, evening and weekend availability.

Grow and maintain a healthy book of lesson business and build strong relationships with students

Be an expert on Trackman and all training aids and teaching tech Five Iron offers

Serve as a featured teaching pro at corporate events - facilitating the experience and providing pointers to all guests

Grow an instructional social media presence 

Assist in the space beyond your golf instruction

Team mentality goes a long way, from running food and drink to helping clean the space when appropriate

Required Qualifications:

At least 2 years experience teaching golf and managing students and their progress

Sound understanding of numerous golf swing teaching methodologies

Understand ball flight laws, be well versed in Launch Monitor nomenclature, and be tech savvy

Proficient in video analysis with strong verbal and written email skills to communicate and follow up with students

Good social skills and working well in group scenarios, facilitating groups to have fun

Able to speak at a high level about the golf swing to a wide variety of skill levels without being confusing

Job Types: Full-time non-exempt

Independent Contractor(1099) contracts available or salary (W2) depending on the candidate. Both candidates are eligible for commissions. 

Salary: The median Salary for this position is $90,000

Hours will vary by week but must be available in the highest leveraged times.
