All players must complete registration through LeagueApps and pay the $1200-1800 team fee (fee varies by location).
Yes! All players who sign up by 1/17 will receive 10% off the registration fee.
All U.S. teams will select a time slot on either Sunday morning, or Sunday, Monday or Tuesday night before the season starts (i.e. Monday 7pm). This will be your time slot for the full season.
If you or your team need to miss a league round – there are a couple of options:
- Have a sub fill in for the missing player’s spot for any regular season league round. If you bring a sub to fill in on any week, their score will be counted against their Trackman Handicap. If they already have a Trackman handicap developed – then this will be used toward scoring. If they do not already have a Trackman Handicap developed, they will play as a 0 handicap.
- Reschedule your round. Teams are allowed a maximum of two re-scheduled regular season league rounds at no extra charge. Just reach out to your location’s league coordinator with your preferred day/time to reschedule the round. Any rounds rescheduled after the two free will cost 50% of the simulator rental fee for the selected day and time of your reschedule.
8 Weeks of guaranteed play plus a free handicap week before the season kicks off.
Seasonlong drink specials.
Opportunity to win Closest-to-the-pin prizes every week.
Access to welcome drinks, mid-round contests, and post round putting competitions.
Teams compete against other local teams as well as those across the country, and Internationally.
Each weekly round consists of 9 holes on rotating courses and formats.
Players will putt with 12-foot gimmies (Trackman) or 10-foot gimmies (Full Swing) turned on.
Play runs for 8 weeks, with 7 weeks of regular season, and 1 week of playoffs/championships.
Every Friday evening, the course for the next week will be announced in a weekly newsletter sent out to all players. This newsletter will also contain general information for the season, including CTP prizes and winners, Drink specials, and much more!
Each week teams will come in at their designated time and be directed to their simulator. A league coordinator will thrn help teams set up their round week to week. There are no scorecards to fill out – all scores will be saved directly in Trackman!
Males and females will each play a tee box decided by Five Iron for each course specifically, decided on a week-to-week basis. Males generally play either the 2nd or 3rd longest tee box while Females generally play from the forward most tee box, with the exception of courses that offer junior tees.
Each week will conclude with a team score relative to par and accumulate throughout the season. (i.e. -2 in Week 1 and -4 in Week 2 means your team’s season score would sit at -6)
If teams tie during any week, the Tiebreaker procedure is as follows:
- Total of the last 6 holes
- Total of the last 3 holes
- Total of the last hole
- Sudden Death Matchplay from the last hole backwards
After week 7 – the top teams on each leaderboard will advance to the International Championship on April 4th, based on the following:
Top 20 Gross Teams internationally plus Top Gross Team from Each Location
Top 20 Net Teams Internationally plus Top Net Team from Each Location
Top 10 Women’s Gross Teams internationally
Teams who don’t advance to the International Championship will play in their local playoffs at their regular time slot during week 8.
After the International Championship – the top international finishers in each of the Net, Gross, and Women’s leaderboard will be our International Champions!
Note: Teams may only win 1 trip. If the same team scores well enough to finish atop multiple leaderboards, they may not redeem multiple Grand Prize trips.
We take establishing correct handicaps seriously so League is fun for everyone. Five Iron Golf reserves the right to disqualify any team from the Net leaderboard who is suspected of purposely padding their handicap for the purpose of winning the Net Championship. In addition, players may be asked to play an extra handicap round if there is suspicion of sandbagging.
All player handicaps will be capped at 18 (2 strokes per hole) for any best ball rounds.
Absolutely! There will be prizes awarded for closest to the pin winners at each location each week. Also, local prizes will be awarded during the playoffs for teams who don’t advance to the International Championship.
Yes, staff members are welcome to play in any league season but they and their team will be disqualified from any prizing associated with the league. Also, any team with 5i staff members advancing to the championship will be replaced with the next best team on the leaderboard.
All players are expected to use the simulator properly and adhere to the Five Iron Golf rules and regulations. Any attempts to manipulate the simulator as determined by the Five Iron Golf in its sole discretion will be grounds for removal. Teeing up the ball is only permitted on the first shot of every hole. A one stroke penalty will be assessed for any violations of this rule.
Every all-women’s team will be competing on the same course for the same prizes every week – but there will be a separate women’s only gross leaderboard. At the end of the regular season, the top 10 Women’s teams based on Gross scores will advance to the international Championship.
