We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Technician to maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to providing top-quality service to our customers. This position is in-house within a retail-entertainment-food & beverage company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and refrigeration units within regional store locations.
- Communicate with Facilities Management regarding scheduling and performing required maintenance and repairs.
- Implement a system of performing, planning, and tracking equipment maintenance within regional store locations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues and recommend solutions.
- Order new parts as needed while ensuring prices are reasonable.
- Perform routine maintenance to ensure system efficiency and longevity.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Test electrical circuits and components for continuity, using electrical test equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients regarding system performance and recommended repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, maintenance reports, and equipment installations.
- Adhere to safety procedures and company policies at all times.
Technical Qualifications:
- Preventative Maintenance: Experience with regular HVAC system maintenance and preventative care programs.
- Certification: Preferred to have New York City HVAC license or certification (e.g., EPA 608 certification for refrigerants).
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in servicing HVAC systems, preferably in commercial environments or restaurants.
- Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to diagnose and repair complex HVAC system issues efficiently.
- Basic Electrical Knowledge: Experience with electrical components of HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations: Knowledge of NYC building codes, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines (e.g., OSHA).
Soft Skills & Attributes:
- Customer Service: Excellent communication skills, especially since the role involves interacting with restaurant staff and managers.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to identify potential issues before they become serious problems, ensuring the HVAC system functions optimally.
- Reliability: Ability to respond to emergency calls or service requests in a timely manner.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced and often unpredictable restaurant environment.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification preferred.
- HVAC certification (EPA 608 or equivalent) required.
- Minimum of [5] years of experience as an HVAC Technician.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with the necessary tools for HVAC system repairs and maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to travel to different restaurant locations within the NYC area.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, or on-call during emergencies.
Physical Requirements:
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
- Manual Dexterity: Skilled in using tools and equipment for repairs and installations.

Pay: $65,000-$75,000
