As the Head Chef at Five Iron Golf, you are a strong leader with a focus on operational efficiency, labor management, and ensuring guest satisfaction. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, are results-driven, and have the ability to manage a high-volume kitchen with an emphasis on executing events and maintaining a well-controlled labor budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Building:
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing kitchen team, ensuring a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Prioritize the hiring, training, and development of team members to build a cohesive and reliable team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, ensuring that all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Labor & Budget Management:
  • Oversee labor costs, ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently and within the budgetary constraints.
  • Monitor scheduling, payroll, and staffing needs, making adjustments as needed to stay aligned with budget goals.
  • Implement best practices for labor management, maximizing productivity while maintaining quality.
  • Event & Menu Execution:
  • Focus on the seamless execution of culinary services for events, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with the events team to plan and execute menus that meet guest expectations and align with the Five Iron Golf brand.
  • Ensure all menus are executed to consistent standards, with a focus on both quality and cost control.
  • Guest Satisfaction:
  • Work closely with the GM of Social to ensure the team delivers exceptional guest experiences through consistent food quality, presentation, and service.
  • Proactively address guest feedback, using insights to drive improvements in service and offerings.
  • Maintain a guest-first approach, ensuring the kitchen supports front-of-house operations in delivering superior hospitality.
  • Operational Excellence:
  • Manage daily kitchen operations, including food safety, sanitation, inventory, and purchasing.
  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures to maintain efficiency, safety, and high standards of cleanliness.
  • Ensure compliance with all local and state health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of culinary leadership experience in a high-volume and fast-paced environment, with a focus on managing labor and budgets.
  • Proven ability to lead a team in delivering high-quality food and exceptional guest service.
  • Strong understanding of cost controls, budgeting, and scheduling in relation to kitchen operations.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills to foster teamwork and accountability.
  • Proficient in kitchen operations management tools and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Competitive salary range of $75,000 - $85,000, commensurate with experience.
